Dr. Michael R. Prisco is an expert in medical device engineering, new product development, mathematical modeling, fluid mechanics, experimental design, root cause failure analysis and assembling multi-functional teams to solve engineering problems.

Dr. Prisco has over 40 years of broad-based experience assembling the needed talent and resources to solve problems in the biomedical and mechanical engineering fields. His specific expertise encompasses design of disposable medical devices, as well as mathematical modeling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics and development and performing of experimental tests. He also assists clients with intellectual property and product adverse event litigation issues.
Prior to starting Prisco Engineering Associates, LLC, he spent 33 years at Baxter Healthcare, Corp., in various roles of increasing responsibility within R&D including Technical Director of R&D. He has also worked for Exponent Engineering and Scientific Consulting and as an adjunct professor of mechanical and chemical engineering at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.

Dr. Prisco earned his BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University. He also holds 17 US patents and has published 4 peer-reviewed papers and several conference proceedings.

During career, he has done projects within and outside the USA including Arizona, California, Florida, Guam, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Belgium, Canada, England, Germany, Ireland, Japan and Singapore.

He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois, #062.036908 and a lifetime member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
